An idea begins to gel

It was a sunny morning in the summer of 2008 when an exciting idea was sparked that lead to what will be a great adventure. Earla and Bergel were enjoying a breakfast of scrambled eggs, toast made of thick tasty bread, a delicious home made jam and good coffee at the table in Earla's back yard oasis when Earla said, "How would you like to take a road trip?' "Where and when," was Bergel's excited reply, and the adventure began.
It is now October of 2009 and there have been many shared breakfasts, cups of coffee and planning session with maps and calenders spread and studied. We, Earla and I, decided to fly into Des Moines, IA and take back roads to Boston. We will visit friends and relatives along the way. We will see some sites, do some shopping, maybe take a side trip or two or more and not hit an interstate or follow a schedule. And, so, the adventure continues.

  8. So, i am impressed that we also get pictures of you all. What a delight to read of your adventures! I can also imagine where you are, which is fun. The pilgrims are eager to get home - gray and rainy the last walking days. Thursday is santiago - and their goal! Fun and play from there on out. The tired and sore David and Chuck arrive home on the 13th, Ted 2 days earlier because Madigan could not live without him???
    We miss you! mary
